Advanced Solar Field Service Technician, Operations and Maintenance

Pearce’s Renewables Solar Operations and Maintenance Division maintains solar power plants and related equipment. The technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting to keep solar and substation equipment operating safely and reliably. Documentation, issue escalation, and collaboration with laborers support site operations and maintenance.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar utility and substation equipment
• document work orders, time logs, inventory, and emergency information
• troubleshoot electrical components using diagnostic equipment
• test and troubleshoot installed solar equipment
• follow Lock Out Tag Out and Job Hazard Analysis safety practices
• operate vehicles safely
• escalate site issues
• may train and mentor laborers into apprentices.
