Job overview

Senior Fire Alarm Technician is an onsite role in Huntsville, AL. Pay is $30–$40 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role supports the Low Voltage / Fire Protection division of State Systems, Inc., whose stated mission is to protect life and property. The technician installs, programs, inspects, tests, and services fire alarm and low-voltage systems to support reliable life-safety protection. The role also troubleshoots system issues, documents work, communicates with customers and project teams, and follows applicable codes and safety standards.

What you'll do

  • Install, program, and service fire alarm and low-voltage systems
  • inspect, test, and maintain systems
  • complete work in accordance with NFPA 72 and company standards
  • test smoke detectors, heat detectors, and pull stations
  • troubleshoot electrical and low-voltage issues
  • communicate job status and deficiencies
  • complete reports and inspection forms
  • collaborate with team members
  • follow safety and fire codes
  • maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle.

Why this role

Requires five or more years of fire alarm or low-voltage systems experience, ability to program and service large-scale systems, a valid driver’s license, and understanding of NFPA 72. NICET and/or ESA certification is preferred.
