Material Handler

Job overview

The Material Handler position is onsite in Charlotte, NC, with compensation of $23 per hour. Jim Myers & Sons designs and manufactures water and water-treatment equipment and systems. The role is part of the Material Handling Department and supports production activities. The handler pulls orders, stages and delivers materials, and maintains inventory organization and accuracy. By coordinating material flow and tracking inventory, the role helps production departments stay supplied and work move efficiently.

What you'll do

• Prepare, organize, and stage materials for manufacturing departments
• respond to material-transport requests
• perform inventory counts
• use ERP information and reports to stage incoming materials and anticipate needs
• investigate inventory discrepancies
• organize parts and pallets with required identifiers
• back up other material handlers and perform advanced material-handling tasks
• prioritize work, communicate with supervisors and departments, maintain an organized work area, and track inventory.
