Automation Technician

The Automation Technician role is onsite at the Lincolnton, NC facility. The stated pay is $26–$35 per hour. Buckeye Global is recruiting for work supporting automated manufacturing equipment and production operations. The technician maintains and improves automated systems to support equipment reliability, product quality, and efficient production. The role combines preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment setup, machine conversions, and participation in continuous improvement and new equipment projects.

What you'll do

• Maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automated equipment
• identify malfunctions and implement corrective actions
• make basic machine modifications
• perform preventive maintenance and document repairs
• conduct daily system checks
• assist with equipment installation and commissioning
• perform machine conversions and changeovers
• train coworkers and external molding partners
• perform machining, fabrication, and welding as required.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to develop knowledge of electronics, PLCs, pneumatics, and machine vision systems required. Forklift operation follows required training; prior industrial automation or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
