The technician repairs and maintains emergency fire protection and public safety vehicles and equipment, helping keep units and related systems ready for service. The role also maintains other City-owned equipment as assigned and coordinates vendor maintenance, recalls, and upgrades.

What you'll do

• Repair and maintain emergency fire and public safety vehicles and equipment
• perform preventive maintenance
• inspect, adjust, and replace components
• diagnose and repair vehicle systems
• maintain fire pumps, foam systems, generators, lighting, and specialty equipment
• coordinate outsourced maintenance and manufacturer recalls
• maintain records and provide field assistance as needed.
