This role performs MRI scans and takes radiographs to assist in diagnosis or treatment, prepares patients for procedures, completes required documentation, administers contrast, produces scans of optimal diagnostic quality, labels images, and communicates pertinent information to the interpreting radiologist.

What you'll do

• Perform MRI scans and take radiographs according to standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Perform Magnetic Resonance procedures to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomical images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Prepare patients for procedures
• providing instructions in order to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety. Complete required documentation on forms, logs, workstation and Meditech. Administer contrast using proper technique. Produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients. Label images and identify according to protocol. Communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist in a timely manner.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate of an educational program in radiology or MRI accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) OR graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology

Experience

1-2 years experience as an MRI Technologist - preferred
