Casual Paramedic

The Casual Paramedic role is onsite in Burns, Oregon, and pays $25.72–$34.56 per hour. The position is part of Harney District Hospital’s hospital-based Emergency Medical Services team, which responds across a service area of more than 10,800 square miles. The paramedic provides emergency care in a remote setting, making independent decisions within scope and protocols and delivering advanced life support interventions. The role also supports emergency department care for critical patients under the direction of an ED physician and contributes to inter-facility transports.

• Provide patient care and advanced life support interventions within scope and protocols

• and participate in EMS response and inter-facility transports as needed.

Why this role

Casual paramedics work a minimum of two shifts per month. Required credentials include Oregon state licensure or an eligible pathway, current ACLS and CPR provider certifications, and successful completion of an EVOC program; additional certifications must be obtained within stated timeframes.
