The Certified Welder is an onsite role based in Guthrie, KY. The pay rate is $33.00 per hour. This position supports the City of Guthrie Interim Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion project. This role is responsible for performing structural welds based on project specifications. The welder prepares materials, fits and tacks assemblies, and inspects finished welds to ensure zero defects and compliance with visual inspection standards.

What you'll do

• Perform structural welds using SMAW (Stick), based on project specifications.
• Read and interpret structural blueprints, welding symbols, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, beveling, and aligning metal components.
• Fit and tack weld assemblies.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure zero defects, proper penetration, and compliance with visual inspection standards.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine checks.
• Follow safety protocols.
