Job overview

The Principal Scientist, Immunology role is an onsite, full-time position in Frederick, MD, with an annual base salary of $130,000–$200,000 plus target incentive. The role is based at Tonix’s Research and Development Center, which supports development of treatments for diseases including infectious diseases and oncology. The scientist leads and conducts immunology research, developing assays and models and analyzing data to advance the company’s research portfolio. The role combines independent experimental work with scientific leadership and cross-functional collaboration to support therapeutic discovery and development.

What you'll do

  • Establish and maintain a flow cytometry pipeline
  • conduct original research
  • develop methods and assays
  • establish in-vitro and in-vivo models for immunotherapeutic evaluation
  • collect, analyze, and interpret data
  • troubleshoot technical issues
  • prepare presentations, reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals
  • design and standardize flow cytometry assays and panels
  • provide scientific leadership in cell-based, molecular, and biochemical assays
  • collaborate across project and functional teams
  • characterize proteins and antibodies
  • contribute to strategic R&D plans.
