What you'll do

• Schedule and assign nursing staff
• oversee patient care and collaborate with physicians
• provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families
• respond to questions and coordinate multidisciplinary care
• maintain safety and infection-control procedures
• enforce medication and controlled-substance requirements
• protect confidential information
• audit patient and department records
• verify emergency equipment availability and coordinate maintenance
• communicate and problem-solve with healthcare teams.
