Field Service Multi-Craft Technician

Job overview

The Field Service Multi-Craft Technician role is onsite, based in Grand Rapids, MI, with travel to customer sites across Michigan. Pay is $35–$40 per hour. Rightman Industrial specializes in waste recycling and dock equipment and serves automotive, food, and commercial industries. The technician diagnoses and repairs industrial compactors, balers, and loading dock equipment, combining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fabrication, and welding work. The role also communicates with customers and dispatch and mentors less experienced technicians. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with an on-call rotation of one week in four.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair industrial compactors, balers, and loading dock equipment
• troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• fabricate and weld onsite
• communicate with customers, dispatch, and the service manager
• mentor newer technicians.
