The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role is hybrid in Golden, CO, with stated base compensation of $180,000–$240,000 per year. Loft Orbital builds and operates satellites and provides end-to-end space missions for customers; this role is on its Cloud Infrastructure Team. The engineer maintains and scales ground-segment infrastructure that supports space operations on Earth and in orbit. The role improves reliability and developer experience by building secure cloud systems, automating delivery and provisioning, and operating observability and networking solutions.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with developers and satellite operators to foster a SatDevOps culture
• design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure hybrid-cloud infrastructure
• improve developer tools, workflows, and environments
• automate and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment workflows
• own and evolve the observability stack
• implement reliability, fault-tolerance, and performance practices
• investigate and resolve reliability issues and conduct root-cause analyses
• partner with teams on Software Defined Network solutions.
