Preschool Educator

The Preschool Educator role is onsite in Austin, TX, and pays $19.00–$23.00 per hour. The position supports Shalom Austin’s Early Childhood Program and its work in the Central Texas Jewish community. The educator co-teaches a classroom and supports children’s learning through collaborative, hands-on activities, daily routines, family communication, and documentation. The role contributes to a values-based learning environment centered on children’s curiosity and development.

What you'll do

• Co-teach a classroom
• support children’s curiosity and investigations
• manage classroom schedules and activities, including playground time, meals, and rest periods
• use open-ended questions and positive redirection
• create hands-on activities
• complete lesson plans, activity reports, assessments, and documentation
• partner with parents and conduct twice-yearly conferences.
