The Mill Operator — 2nd Shift role is onsite in Elkhart, IN. Pay is $24–$34 per hour. Consolidated Metals manufactures steel tubing products. The operator sets up and runs welded tube mill equipment to produce tubing that meets quality requirements. The role contributes to production efficiency and product quality through equipment adjustments, inspections, documentation, and routine maintenance.

What you'll do

• Set up, operate, and adjust welded tube mill equipment and tooling
• adjust rolls and install spacers, work coils, and impeder rods during changeovers
• inspect tubing dimensions and appearance
• operate end-welding equipment and a handheld torch
• verify raw materials
• use precision measuring equipment
• reject nonconforming product
• complete inspection and production-quality records
• maintain safe and clean equipment
• report nonconformities
• generate production tags
• support and train mill crew personnel
• work overtime as needed.
