Staff Cloud Support Engineer

The Staff Cloud Support Engineer role is onsite in San Francisco, CA, with compensation of $156,000–$190,000 per year plus bonus. Crusoe’s mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence by building AI infrastructure. The role provides senior technical leadership across cloud support and partner teams, resolving complex incidents and improving reliability across infrastructure layers. Through systemic fixes, architecture input, customer guidance, and mentorship, the engineer helps protect service reliability and support large-scale AI workloads.

What you'll do

• Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex P1/P0 incidents
• lead cross-functional root-cause investigations across compute, networking, storage, and orchestration
• partner with SRE and software teams on systemic fixes
• improve node validation, burn-in, performance baselining, and release readiness
• influence Kubernetes architecture and workload orchestration
• troubleshoot NCCL, InfiniBand, GPU driver and firmware issues, and distributed training failures
• support AI workloads through performance tuning and observability
• advise customers during high-risk incidents and deliver executive-ready root-cause analyses
• mentor engineers and define support standards.
