The Radiologic Technologist role is onsite in Berlin, NH, at the Federal Correctional Institution Berlin Health Services Department. Compensation is $46.24 per hour. The position provides diagnostic radiography services for the incarcerated patient population. The technologist independently performs radiographic procedures and supports continuity and quality of care through patient preparation, image handling, documentation, equipment checks, and coordination with medical staff and the interpreting radiologist.

What you'll do

• Perform routine diagnostic radiologic procedures ordered by authorized medical staff
• prepare and position patients and select exposure factors
• obtain diagnostic-quality images
• notify the radiologist or referring physician of possible abnormalities or need for additional views
• schedule examinations and maintain logs and records
• transmit images and reports and coordinate records transfer
• conduct quality-assurance testing and daily equipment maintenance
• follow radiation-safety, infection-control, privacy, and correctional-security requirements.

Why this role

Part-time role anticipated at approximately 0.2 FTE, normally up to eight one-hour sessions per week, Monday through Friday between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM, excluding federal holidays. Contingent upon contract award. Requires current ARRT certification or credential authorizing radiologic practice, at least three years of qualifying experience, and current CPR certification.
