The Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist role is onsite in San Francisco, CA, at the San Francisco VA Health Medical Center. Compensation is not specified. The physician supports the VA medical center’s interventional cardiology services during VA business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The physician diagnoses and treats cardiovascular disease through consultative care and invasive procedures, contributing specialized expertise to the medical center’s cardiac care. The role collaborates with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, and catheterization laboratory technologists to manage patients before, during, and after procedures.

What you'll do

• Provide interventional cardiology consultation and procedural care
• diagnose and invasively treat cardiovascular disease
• perform diagnostic cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention
• manage complex cardiovascular conditions
• provide procedures including pericardiocentesis, endocardial biopsies, intra-aortic balloon device placement, and percutaneous revascularization
• manage patients before, during, and after procedures
• collaborate with the multidisciplinary cardiac team.
