CNC Machinist

The CNC Machinist role is onsite in Tonawanda, NY, with stated pay of $30–$40 per hour depending on experience. The position is part of a growing manufacturing organization’s machine shop, which has added machines and plans another installation. The machinist sets up and operates 5-axis machines, makes program adjustments as needed, and performs limited work on boring mills. The role contributes to safe, quality production and continuous improvement in a cellular machine-shop environment.

What you'll do

• Set up, load, and operate 5-axis machines in a cellular configuration
• monitor and modify programs as needed, with primary programming handled by programmers
• perform limited work with CNC vertical and horizontal boring mills
• participate in lean, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma work teams
• follow safety policies and procedures and participate in safety meetings.
