The Research Associate II / Senior Research Associate, Protein Science role is onsite in Bothell, WA; the expected base salary is $70,000–$90,000 per year. The position supports SystImmune’s AIDD Protein Science Automation team as it builds an antibody screening workflow and automation wet lab. The role provides experimental capacity for protein expression, purification, screening, and candidate confirmation, while developing reproducible methods that can be transferred to automation. Its work generates consistent candidate data for the company’s antibody discovery and development efforts.

What you'll do

• Prepare DNA templates and run cell-free protein expression
• purify, quantify, and assess protein quality
• run AlphaLISA or ELISA screens and support BLI confirmation
• execute experiments, review data quality, make repeat decisions, and optimize protocols within approved plans
• define controls and acceptance criteria
• maintain reagents, records, SOPs, and batch documentation
• transfer validated methods to automation
• contribute to the new automation wet-lab build-out.
