The Journeyman Carpenter – High-End Residential role is onsite at job sites between Los Gatos and Belmont, CA, with pay of $42–$46 per hour. DES Employment Group is recruiting for a direct-hire opportunity with a contractor specializing in high-end custom residential construction and luxury remodels. The carpenter performs precise finish and rough carpentry that supports custom residential projects. The role contributes craftsmanship through installation of cabinetry, millwork, doors, trim, and exterior cladding while coordinating with supervisors, crew members, and specialty trades.

What you'll do

• Install custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, casework, built-ins, specialty doors, and hardware
• measure, cut, and install trim, paneling, and ceilings
• install exterior siding and cladding and integrate flashing and weather barriers
• install backing and blocking
• interpret architectural and shop drawings
• maintain finish tolerances
• coordinate with supervisors, crew members, and trades
• keep work areas clean and protected
• follow safety standards
• provide respectful guidance to apprentices and laborers.
