Accurate coding, research, and timely work-queue processing support compliant billing and timely claim filing, with provider queries used when clarification is needed.

What you'll do

• Assign CPT/ASA and ICD-10-CM codes to anesthesia visits and CPT and ICD-10-CM codes to surgical visits.
• Determine time units, total units, and modifiers from patient documentation.
• Research coding and billing rules, review records for errors, run concurrency reports for anesthesia time discrepancies, and escalate complex overlaps.
• Maintain work queues and assignments within processing timeframes and query providers for clarification when needed.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of recent anesthesia and pain coding experience, and CPC, CCS, or CCSP certification upon hire. CANPC certification is preferred; Epic experience is required. Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; overtime may be required.
