Mammography Technologist

The Mammography Technologist role is onsite in North Bergen, NJ, with local pay of $70–$73 per hour and traveler pay of $75–$78 per hour. The 18-week assignment schedules five eight-hour day shifts, with weekends required and no holidays, on-call, or floating. The technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast imaging and supports breast procedures.

What you'll do

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography, including 2D and 3D digital breast tomosynthesis
• perform magnification, spot compression, and Eklund views
• assist with breast localization and stereotactic or ultrasound-guided procedures
• select technical factors and equipment
• position and compress patients
• verify identification and image labels
• review image quality
• prepare charts and prior imaging
• educate patients
• perform quality-control procedures
• maintain documentation and follow infection-control, HIPAA, radiation-safety, and ALARA standards.

Why this role
