Infrastructure Technician III, Structured Cabling

The Infrastructure Technician III role is fully onsite at a customer site in Abilene, TX. Pay is $35–$42 per hour. The technician installs and supports data, voice, fiber, structured cabling, ICT, and low-voltage infrastructure for customer environments.

What you'll do

• Install, service, upgrade, and decommission structured cabling and low-voltage systems
• splice fiber and terminate, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber
• install racks, trays, cabinets, network devices, servers, and patch panels
• conduct Fluke DSX8000, OTDR, and VFL testing
• lead small teams and mentor junior technicians
• coordinate workflows
• communicate project updates
• and maintain testing, materials, and work-progress documentation.

Why this role

Contract role with possible extension or contract-to-hire opportunity. Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with flexibility for after-hours work and some weekends. Must be open to travel to other U.S. sites as needed; requires 5+ years of low-voltage cabling experience and a valid driver’s license.
