The Senior Technical Field Advisor, Power Generation role is onsite in Houston, TX. Compensation is not specified. Texas Compression seeks an experienced advisor to guide power-generation construction, refurbishment, installation, and field troubleshooting. The role exists to help field teams execute work safely and reliably by evaluating equipment, interpreting technical requirements, resolving field discrepancies, and documenting recommendations. The advisor coordinates technical questions with project management, customers, original equipment manufacturers, and engineers, and mentors supervisors and technicians.

What you'll do

• Provide technical guidance during inspections, refurbishment, assembly, and installation
• evaluate equipment condition and identify repair needs, constraints, and risks
• review drawings, OEM documentation, specifications, and procedures
• advise field teams on assembly, alignment, fit-up, connections, sealing, and inspections
• resolve discrepancies between drawings and field conditions
• coordinate technical questions
• document findings and corrective actions
• support hold points, punch lists, and turnover reviews
• mentor field personnel and escalate matters requiring engineering approval.
