The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) role is onsite in Fort Belvoir, VA, co-located with the customer and other contractors in government office spaces. Compensation is $100,000–$130,000 per year. The role supports Project Manager Terrestrial Sensors and subordinate product offices. The ISSO supports government cybersecurity risk management and system authorization by coordinating accreditation documentation, applying Risk Management Framework requirements, and helping identify and address security deficiencies. The work helps ensure systems are validated and authorized for operations.

What you'll do

• Provide technical support for Authority to Operate documentation
• perform lead ISSO duties for PM TS and subordinate Product Offices
• support information system accreditation and RMF/FISMA reporting
• assist with system accreditation and reaccreditation, security hardening, and vulnerability scanning
• support cybersecurity risk governance and NIST controls
• help categorize systems and implement security controls
• support authorization processes and validation
• maintain Plans of Action and Milestones
• support implementation or oversight of DISA STIGs.

Why this role

Active Secret clearance required; bachelor's degree and three years of cybersecurity experience required, with two additional years of experience substituting for the degree; Defense Acquisition and DoD IAM Level I or II certification required. Monday–Friday; less than 10% travel expected.
