The Principal Environmental Engineer is a hybrid role based in Bloomfield, NJ, with annual compensation of $105,000–$135,000. T&M Associates’ New Jersey Environmental Market and remediation practice deliver environmental remediation services. The role provides senior technical leadership and independent decision-making on complex environmental projects. It leads technical execution, develops remediation solutions, manages investigation projects, and supports compliant, high-quality delivery for clients and project teams.

What you'll do

• Provide technical expertise on site investigation, remedial design, environmental data evaluation, compliance, permitting, and long-term site management
• evaluate environmental conditions and develop recommendations
• lead work plans, reports, permit applications, and regulatory submissions
• mentor engineers and scientists
• manage environmental investigation projects, including NJDEP Site Remediation Program work
• coordinate with project managers, LSRPs, engineers, and scientists
• conduct technical reviews and QA/QC
• prepare technical and cost proposals
• assess project risks
• maintain knowledge of regulations and remediation technologies.
