MRI Assistant

The MRI Assistant is an onsite, full-time role in Clifton Park, NY. Pay is $20–$27 per hour. The role supports OrthoNY’s MRI department and its patient-centered imaging workflow. Under the direction of a qualified MRI Technologist, the assistant helps prepare patients, support MRI safety screening, coordinate patient flow, and keep rooms and supplies ready. This non-technical support helps the department provide safe, organized, and efficient examinations.

What you'll do

• Greet and prepare patients
• confirm identity and assist with changing, belongings, transport, transfers, and positioning as directed
• provide comfort measures and report patient concerns
• facilitate safety-screening documentation and escalate potential concerns to the MRI Technologist
• maintain MRI safety zones
• prepare rooms, supplies, and equipment
• clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment
• support scheduling, records, room turnover, logs, and communication across the department.
