The Data Center Engineer, Infrastructure and Cloud (TS/SCI) works onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. Compensation is $167,000 per year. What you'll do

• Review infrastructure, architectures, designs, and operations for improvement opportunities
• design, deliver, and optimize infrastructure services
• analyze and document legacy-to-modern infrastructure transition requirements
• build security-hardened host and tenant environments
• design virtual infrastructure to optimize physical computing, storage, and network capacity
• document security, configuration, and performance benchmarks
• design highly available private-cloud data center services
• develop automation and orchestration for resource provisioning and de-provisioning
• identify security actions, tests, and performance indicators
• provide advanced technical support and contribute to data architecture and administration activities.

Why this role

Requires active TS/SCI clearance, a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III certification, and specified experience based on degree level: 8–10 years with a bachelor's degree, 6–8 years with a master's degree, or 3–5 years with a PhD. VMware vCloud Enterprise Suite and hybrid classified-government-cloud experience are required; professional-level technical certifications and ITIL Foundations are desired.
