The Direct Support Professional, Per Diem role is onsite in Oak Ridge, NJ. Pay is $20.49 per hour Monday–Friday and $21.49 per hour for shifts beginning 11 p.m. Friday through 11 p.m. Sunday; non-work time is paid at the base rate. The Department for Persons with Disabilities provides care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes. The professional supports residents’ personal health, safety, and welfare while assisting with daily living, medication, and community activities. Consistent care and documentation help residents participate in home and community life.

What you'll do

• Assist or supervise residents with personal care, including bathing and toileting
• participate in or supervise cleaning, cooking, and life-skills activities
• administer or assist with medication
• communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and residents
• drive residents to and from day programs and community activities using agency vehicles
• document services daily
• assist with community-based activities.
