Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant role is hybrid in Manassas, VA, with a salary range of $100,000–$130,000 per year. Electra is developing the EL9 hybrid-electric aircraft and is scaling its accounting function in an aerospace environment. The role owns payroll accounting and month-end close activities while supporting payables, employee expenses, invoicing, and reconciliations. It helps maintain accurate financial data, internal controls, and audit-ready documentation as the company advances toward aircraft certification and commercial operations.

What you'll do

• Review payroll registers
• prepare and post payroll journal entries
• reconcile payroll balance sheet accounts
• ensure timesheet compliance and labor cost allocation
• coordinate payroll changes with People Operations
• support international payroll coordination
• maintain audit documentation
• prepare month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• lead accounts payable operations
• reconcile corporate card activity and employee expenses
• perform invoicing and accounts receivable reconciliation
• improve accounting processes and controls
• participate in planned payroll application and ERP transitions.
