Construction Project Engineer

Job overview

The Construction Project Engineer role is onsite in Sacramento, CA. The listed pay range is $30–$40 per hour. The engineer supports project managers and field teams by coordinating installation plans, documentation, procurement, schedules, and costs. This work helps keep project requirements, materials, vendors, and field execution aligned from planning through completion.

What you'll do

• Support field teams with installation plans
• conduct job walks and site inspections
• assist with on-site logistics, deliveries, and subcontractor coordination
• track progress and schedule updates
• maintain project documentation and trackers
• manage project data in Nexus
• attend meetings and record minutes
• draft purchase orders under project manager guidance
• support billing, procurement, vendor coordination, and budget monitoring
• escalate delays and field issues.
