What you'll do

• Provide information to diagnose patient illnesses, by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs.
• Prior to each exam, prepare patient for radiological procedure through proper positioning and image technique, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
• Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures.
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images.
• Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents and all types of care to the patient.
• Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs.

What we're looking for

Education

Vocational School Graduate, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree

Experience

Must be able to demonstrate skills in 2 special areas in addition to routine radiography and be able to cover call for those skills required. Possess skill in 1 or additional areas and be assigned the majority of scheduled hours in that area required. Successful completion of an ARCRT or ARRT examination with a current license to practice radiographic technology required.
