Lead HVAC Installer

The Lead HVAC Installer role is onsite in Portsmouth, RI, supporting residential replacement and new-construction projects throughout Rhode Island’s East Bay area. Pay is $35–$45+ per hour, depending on experience and licensing, with performance-based bonuses of $10,000–$20,000+ annually based on job profitability and performance. Ocean State Air Solutions is a family-owned company focused on heating, cooling, and indoor air quality solutions. The lead installer manages and performs HVAC installations, guides installation crews, and takes ownership of project quality, efficiency, and profitability. The role contributes to customer satisfaction and company performance by completing work to code and safety standards and mentoring junior installers and apprentices.

What you'll do

• Lead and perform residential HVAC system replacements and new-construction installations
• read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
• oversee crews to complete jobs on time, on budget, and to company standards
• meet local codes, manufacturer specifications, and safety requirements
• communicate with project managers, builders, and homeowners
• monitor progress and contribute to profitability
• train and mentor junior installers and apprentices
• maintain clean and safe job sites
• and complete job documentation.

Why this role

Requires 3+ years of HVAC installation experience, EPA certification, an active HVAC license, and a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving history. Boiler, furnace, gas, and oil system experience is strongly preferred.
