What you'll do

• Process customer transactions using the cash register and point-of-sale system
• handle cash, make change, and balance the cash drawer
• accept approved payment methods, including SNAP and WIC transactions
• issue receipts and correct change
• greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues
• follow regulations for weights and measures and alcohol and tobacco sales
• identify products by PLU, scale, or product number
• bag merchandise
• maintain a clean checkout area
• stock merchandise as needed
• complete ongoing training
• obtain a liquor license or food handler permit if required by the county within the first 14 days.
