What you'll do

• Organize and coordinate operations of the clinical laboratory phlebotomy and processing area
• coordinate staffing and work assignments
• direct and update policies, procedures, and protocols
• obtain blood specimens by venipuncture or skin puncture
• receive, prepare, accession, label, and process specimens
• enter information into the Laboratory Information System
• assess specimen condition and storage needs
• track and resolve discrepancies
• monitor workload and adjust assignments.
