What you'll do

• Direct weekly choir rehearsals and Catholic Mass music
• select music appropriate to the Catholic Liturgical Calendar
• conduct choir warm-ups
• recruit, organize, and train choir members and musicians
• coordinate selections with the Catholic Priest
• provide solo or accompanied vocal music when required
• set up and maintain microphones, music stands, and risers
• operate the chapel sound system as needed
• support special services and approved Catholic events
• provide a qualified substitute when unavailable
• submit monthly activity reports and attend scheduled Catholic Pastoral Council meetings.

Why this role

Schedule includes Wednesday choir rehearsal, 6:30–8:00 p.m.; Saturday Mass, 4:30–6:30 p.m.; and Sunday Mass, 8:30–10:30 a.m. Additional services may include Holy Days, funerals, First Communion, Confirmation, Advent, Lent, and other Catholic activities. Requires at least five years directing choirs for Catholic Masses.
