Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer role is onsite in Bethesda, MD; compensation is not specified. The engineer supports cyDaptiv Solutions’ Federal and Department of Defense cybersecurity and information assurance projects. The role assesses system security controls and configurations, identifies risks and compliance gaps, recommends or implements remediation, and coordinates assessment work with stakeholders. It contributes to secure and compliant DoD information systems through Risk Management Framework activities and technical security reviews.

What you'll do

• Implement the DoD Assess and Authorize process under the Risk Management Framework
• manage RMF activities in eMASS
• assess systems using ACAS/Nessus, SCAP, and manual STIG reviews
• test and implement DoD STIGs
• develop mitigation strategies and apply vulnerability patches
• conduct compliance scans
• draft architecture diagrams, hardware/software inventories, ports/protocols/services registrations, and data-flow diagrams
• introduce new team members to project tasks and expectations.
