Quality and Compliance Specialist, Food Safety

The specialist reports to the FSQA Manager and supports food safety and compliance programs from raw-material receipt through finished-product release. The role maintains certification and food-safety programs, verifies compliance with customer requirements, and supports audits and continuous improvement. Its work helps ensure products and operations meet applicable food-safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

What you'll do

• Maintain Gluten-Free, Organic, Non-GMO, Rainforest Alliance, SQF, and other certification programs under the QA Manager's guidance
• ensure specifications and operations meet customer requirements and claims
• identify non-conformances and improvement opportunities
• perform root-cause and risk analyses
• lead SQF, state, FDA, organic, and customer audits when the QA Manager is absent
• support the Quality Management System
• document compliance activities
• stop processes for food-safety or quality reasons when authorized.
