The Great Start Readiness Program Teacher role is onsite in Ypsilanti, MI. Compensation is $15–$21 per hour. The teacher supports early childhood education through Michigan’s Great Start Readiness Program at Its A Small World Preschool and Child Care. The teacher plans and delivers developmentally appropriate curriculum, creates a safe and engaging classroom, assesses children’s development, maintains records, and builds relationships with families. The role contributes to high-quality early learning and children’s growth and readiness.

What you'll do

• Plan and implement curriculum aligned with Michigan Early Childhood Standards of Quality
• create a safe, nurturing, engaging classroom
• conduct child assessments and maintain developmental records
• communicate with families and support family engagement
• collaborate with co-teachers, support staff, and program coordinators
• participate in required professional development, training, and coaching
• complete lesson plans and required program documentation.

Why this role

A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required for GSRP lead teacher eligibility. A valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Early Childhood endorsement is preferred.
