Full Stack Engineer – AI and Defense Technology

Job overview

The Full Stack Engineer role is in person five days per week in San Francisco, CA, or Washington, DC; candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to one of those cities. Base salary is $180,000–$240,000 annually, with equity of $50,000–$500,000 over four years. The engineer will build software for a confidential client’s government and national security applications.

What you'll do

• Build and deploy full-stack applications and data workflows for government and defense operators
• develop AI agents and LLM-powered features
• create interfaces with React and Next.js and backend systems primarily with Python
• work with data pipelines, APIs, and web scraping
• own projects from architecture through deployment and iteration
• collaborate with technical and product leadership
• present solutions to government operators
• and travel to military bases and customer sites to deploy software and gather feedback.
