Temporary Maintenance Assistant

The Temporary Maintenance Assistant role is an onsite, part-time position in Mill City, OR, paying $18–$20 per hour. The position is temporary, with the potential to become permanent, and works 30 hours per week as part of the property’s onsite team. Reporting to the Property Manager, the assistant helps maintain clean, safe, and well-kept apartments and common areas. The work supports residents and the property team through timely work-order completion, basic repairs, unit turnovers, grounds upkeep, and maintenance records.

What you'll do

• Complete work orders and clean up after work
• assist the Maintenance Technician with repairs, including painting, carpentry, wall repair, and minor plumbing, electrical, heating, and air-conditioning tasks
• help clean units during turnovers
• maintain grounds and common areas
• provide on-call maintenance service as directed and respond to emergencies as instructed
• maintain logs and supply inventories
• advise the Regional Property Manager about property conditions
• prepare purchase-order requests and code invoices.
