Surgical Technician

This role assists the surgeon and nurse in caring for patients undergoing procedures at the center. It supports safe, orderly operations by preparing the operating room and sterile field, maintaining supplies and aseptic technique, passing instruments, and ensuring supplies are removed from the operative field.

What you'll do

• Prepare the operating room for planned procedures
• maintain adequate supply inventory
• set up the sterile field with required instruments and supplies
• follow aseptic technique and report breaks in technique
• pass instruments, supplies, and sutures to the surgeon and assistants
• ensure instruments, needles, sponges, and other supplies are removed from the operative field.
