Job overview

The Project Specialist, Maintenance Service Engineering role is onsite in Truth or Consequences, NM. The annual U.S. base salary range is $81,650–$124,600. The role supports Virgin Galactic's Flight Maintenance team and its mission to develop next-generation space vehicles. The specialist develops and sustains maintenance service plans, technical data, and service bill-of-material structures for spaceships and launch/carrier vehicles. This work helps ensure vehicles can be efficiently maintained and inspected, supporting fleet operations, dispatch, and mission reliability.

What you'll do

  • Develop and sustain service item definitions and maintenance process plans
  • use analytics and feedback to improve plans
  • contribute to continuous improvement and vehicle maintainability initiatives
  • coordinate equipment, tools, spares, facilities, utilities, and maintenance services
  • review 3D model-based designs for maintainability
  • contribute to technical publications and MSG-3 maintenance task analysis
  • develop and manage service bill of materials and maintenance task cards in 3DX
  • control as-maintained changes and support engineering changes.
