Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

What you'll do

• Operate, test, troubleshoot, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems, subsystems, and related equipment
• perform planned maintenance on refrigeration and utility systems
• operate and maintain spiral freezers
• maintain refrigeration and utility rooms
• perform or learn ammonia system pump-downs
• complete required PSM, work order, and system documentation
• digitize maintenance and refrigeration records
• conduct daily system rounds and inspections
• perform chemical tests on boilers and condenser towers
• follow safety, GMP, and SOP requirements.

Why this role

Requires two years of ammonia refrigeration experience in an industrial refrigeration and food manufacturing environment, GCAP or RETA ammonia certification, and EPA Type II certification. Respirator fit and pulmonary function tests and a 24-hour hazmat class are also required.
