Service Technician – Heavy Equipment

Job overview

The Service Technician role is onsite in Wilson, NC. Compensation is not specified. The technician reports to the service manager and supports equipment repair operations for Hills Machinery. The role exists to recondition and repair machinery and components to quality and safety standards, helping ensure assigned work is completed effectively. It also supports shop operations through accurate repair records, care of tools and vehicles, and professional customer and employee communication.

What you'll do

• Recondition and repair assigned equipment components and systems
• plan repair methods and sequence
• order required parts and materials
• complete repairs safely and effectively
• maintain records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases
• care for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
• keep the work area clean and safe
• communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
