Vocational Counselor

The Vocational Counselor role is onsite in Middletown, NY, with compensation of $26–$29 per hour. RECAP works to empower individuals and strengthen communities through support services. The role contributes through individualized assessment and planning, career counseling, employment preparation, resource coordination, and collaboration with treatment teams and community partners.

What you'll do

• Assess vocational skills, interests, education, work history, and employment barriers
• develop and monitor individualized rehabilitation plans
• provide career counseling and job-search support
• facilitate work-readiness training
• connect clients with employment, education, and community resources
• collaborate with treatment teams
• document services and outcomes
• maintain confidentiality.
