Head Start Teacher — Bedford and Salem Centers

The Teacher role is onsite at Hoosier Uplands’ Bedford and Salem centers in Indiana. Compensation is $16–$18 per hour. The teacher supports Head Start and Early Head Start services in alignment with program standards and Hoosier Uplands’ mission. The teacher creates a safe, individualized learning environment that builds children’s skills for kindergarten readiness and works with families and staff to support each child’s development.

What you'll do

• Supervise children and maintain safe learning spaces and staff-to-child ratios
• follow and individualize curriculum

• maintain assessment and child-goal records
• participate in team meetings and professional development
• report suspected child abuse or neglect
• assist with recruitment of eligible children.
