What you'll do

• Prepare and cook resident meals in quantities based on menus and the number of people served
• follow cooking methods and temperatures
• clean work areas and equipment according to sanitation requirements
• check food quality and appearance
• prepare meals on schedule
• serve food according to dietary guidelines and verify tray completeness and accuracy
• monitor portions
• prepare food for personnel, families, visitors, and special events as directed
• inspect special-diet trays
• attend required in-service education
• maintain confidentiality and protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse.
