Director of Construction Operations

The Director of Construction Operations role is onsite in Portsmouth, VA. Compensation is $165,000–$200,000 per year. The position supports the General Contracting Business Unit, which provides construction services to the Federal Government at military installations worldwide. The director provides senior management with insight into business-unit progress and oversees process and performance across functions. The role helps implement the Vice President’s strategy and supports project execution, risk management, and annual operating-plan goals.

What you'll do

• Assist the Vice President with implementing the business-unit vision and achieving goals
• oversee project execution and project health through monthly program reviews, site and office visits, and risk management
• manage bonding and builders risk insurance programs
• coordinate bid and proposal reviews and Go/No-Go meetings concerning safety and finance
• participate in strategic planning and implementation of initiatives.
