Compensation is $37–$45 per year. The Reefer Mechanic is an onsite role based in Atlanta, GA. This role exists to ensure the safety and reliability of the company's fleet by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel reefer equipment. The mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing refrigeration systems, documenting repairs, and maintaining compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.).
- Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
- Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
- Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
- Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
